This past Wednesday was a busy day here at CarineCassell. Prior to the meet and greet I attended in the afternoon, I sat down with rising Savannah hiphop artist Bliss Skate Co. VP CJ Da Fly Guy. As you can see, he’s a man of many hats; in addition to having a sound musical resume, his company has styled pretty much everyone in the hiphop community that you could imagine! In the interview, we talked how he manages, where/when he got his start, what’s next, what big names he’s working with and more. CJ also blessed us with three exclusive tracks from his upcoming project [acronym explained in vid] and a mean 16 from himself and fellow dope artist Messiah Da Rapper. Check out; the vid below and hit us on Twitter if you have any questions! Also check out throwback footage of CJ performing at Spoiled Milk here. 🙂
I rarely reblog..but now I think I want a black and white computer too.lol
Yesterday the homie Matty Make It Work and I were invited to the listening party of uprising Detroit rapper Trigg Da Kidd for his upcoming album. It was dope! Watch below for my exclusive interview with Trigg and fellow artist Fuco Bunkin as we talk Trigganometry, Blunts and Booties, Stoner’z Night, Shake Dat Ass, being on tour with 2 Chainzzz and more. 🙂
“Think about it (DIana)” Prettidope x Cj da fly Guy deliver a dope collaboration as both prepare for their individual releases [W.I.N.G.S by Cj da fly guy] and [No rules No Apologies by Prettidope] this year. Listen as they lace this DIana Ross sampled track prod. by Xian with their nostalgic southern soliloquies. #DOPEFLYSHITONLY
Hilarious new vid from one of my favorite white boys Kyle Lucas. Met him at a Big Boi concert a few years back where he and his band Vonnegutt were performing and have been down for the movement every since. In addition to the EP he has with the group, he has an awesome mixtape titled It’s Always Sunny in Marietta and is dropping the sequel on April 10. This guy really puts on for Atlanta. Respect. Check out the vid to Don’t Fuck With My Money [Bitch I’m Broke] below!
Oldie but goodie footage of the homies Curtis Williams and Retro Jace of Two9, Karate Chop producer Metro, Fani of OriginalFani.com, and B Wright of Kreemo at Spelhouse Homecoming last fall. Tried to get permission before I posted it since the “turnip” was real but here it goes. Check out the hilarity that ensued above, and footage from Trinidad James & Curtis‘s SXSW performance of Serious below.
The newest episode in the saga from G.O.O.D. Music’s own CyHi The Prynce. As the last three before it, this song continues the story that is told on his most recent mixtape Ivy League: Kickback [which is heavy in my rotation, might I add]. The visuals are dope and hilarious as usual. Check out the video below + a download link to the mixtape. Also check out my AMAZING interview with The Prynce here.
