Recently, I got a chance to sit down with one of New Atlanta’s hardest’-working emcees Jack Travis. We talked about an array of things; from what it takes to make a hit to upcoming music to which buzzworthy Atlanta artist is a “frenemy” of Travis. I found out a lot of great info! Check out the interview below.
The moment I’ve been anticipating for months is finally here. When Southern artist Big K.R.I.T. dropped King Remembered In Time in April, one of the tracks was a snippet featuring Future entitled Just Last Week that had us begging for more. After a summer of waiting, we’ve finally been blessed with the whole song. Produced by K.R.I.T. [who produces all of his music}, the track is a perfect mix of OG UGK-like vibes mingled with the new sound that Future has made us all come to love. Check out the dope track below! It’s one of my faves! 🙂
Last week in Atlanta, Encore Music Group hosted an amazing event called #Encore8 . Some of New Atlanta’s hottest acts competed to be the night’s winner, while acts such as Sy Ari Da Kid as well as Kissie Lee were featured artists. The show was awesome; the performers were dope and the vibe was incredible. Before the show, I was blessed with an exclusive interview with one of the featured acts, Brooklynn, a beautiful girl with a beautiful voice. Check out the interview below, where I asked Brooklynn about working with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, who she has worked with and dreams of working with, and more!
Dope new visuals from my fave dance team in ATL: Motion Sickness 3. They collab with JigTeam to bring you dope visuals to the sounds of Migos‘ NIght Time, shot by yours truly. Check it out! And follow the dancers on Twitter.! @boogieboard9 @jigman23 @jiggteam @motionsickness3 @kodakk6000 @PoohGotti_22 @SilkkySurfer
After a stunning show at Trillectro in DC, FatKidsBrotha of Two9 give us another banger. BANG, produced by Snubnose Frankenstien, is a vibe-able track that will definitely be getting lots of play in my ITunes along with fellow Two9 member Curtis Williams‘ Half Forgotten DayDreams. The tracks is from their upcoming project Eastside Paradise II. Check it out below!
New sounds from the homie Jack Travis. He’s back with a vengeance. Livhi was written, produced, mastered, mixed and performed by Travis himself. Definitely vibed to the song and had lots of respect for the fact that he’s a one-man band. Pretty dope. Check out the song below, and LIVHI apparel can be found at http://impyre.wix.com/livhiimpyre ! Look out for an exclusive interview with Jack coming Friday. We talked about new music, the thoughts behind the lyrics, and what JAck thinks of several other Atlanta artists at the moment. You don’t want to miss it!
1000 Mo’ Hitz is the newest single from sbCNCS ambassador Shalom Little; the song is a subJAKKK of Curtis Williams‘ “1000 More Blunts“ (originally produced by Eric Dingus) and it’s dope! This song is touching on recent socio-racial issues affecting the people in United States. Me being the political rebel that I am, I love it and I’m sure you will too. You can check out Shalom’s latest project The subJAKKK, which is currently available for free at: http://sbcncs.bandcamp.com/album/the-subjakkk .
