A new mixtape from one of New Atlanta’s most prolific artist Clay James. The tape is entitled Law 25. From Robert Greene’s book “48 Laws of Power”, “Law 25” states:
“Do not accept the roles that society foists on you. Re-create yourself by forging a new identity, one that commands attention and never bores the audience. Be the master of your own image rather than letting others define it for you.“
Dope! Clay definitely made me a fan when I sat down with him for an interview in April. Being a Southerner myself, gotta love the Southern Playa Shit he was kickin on this mixtape. Click the picture above to play the tape and check my Music tab soon for a full review.
New laid-back track from alternative artist Fauni Taaj Keem. The name of the tune is Menthol Diamonds. Born in TN, but Atlanta influenced Taaj produces a lot of his own music which I find dope. This track will put you in the mind of Wiz Khalifa in the best way possible. Check it out below and leave a comment to let me know what you think! 😉
The ratchet gods have blessed us with a new single from Dae Dae featuring Queand K. Camp and New Atlanta fave Sy Ari Da Kid. The creatively-titled track is called Muhvugga. This song is sure to be a radio killer following the success of OG Bobby Johnson and Money Baby, respectively. Definitely an extremely catchy and hype song with a great hook. Check it out below.
One of the most buzzworthy new artists in the A Sy Ari Da Kid drops a freestyle to your fave club hit OG Bobby Johnson. Dude is spittin and it’s definitely off the dome. I can respect an MC who can hold it down over this beat. Sy Ari brings a new and interesting take to the trap beat from an artist who is definitely more than meets the eye. Check out the freestlyle below and let me know what you think!
Southern rapper Miles Stone delivers a laidback, “chilly” track just in time for the end of the semester to ease that finals stress. KCGC[you’ll have to listen to the song to find out what it stands for] is a track which show off Miles’s talent not only as an MC, but also shows he can carry quite the tune. I am blessed to say that I heard the track before it laid down and all the vocals are very authentic: if you go to one of Stone’s upcoming shows you will definitely leave impressed. KCGCcomes from the upcoming project Hard Liquor. Check here for a link when it drops. Let me know what you think about the track.
I’ve been keeping up with Bieber’s Music Mondays for the past six weeks, like the true Belieber I am. While I called it a while back that oce JB turned 18, the music would gradually be more R&B and sexual, nothing could really prepare me for this week’s collab. The Biebs decided to team up with none other than Chance the Rapper to bring us Confident, a very groovable track with dope production and an always spectacular verse from Chance. This has really been his year, from Acid Rapdebatably being mixtape of the year to touring with Eminem and Kendrick; now this big-time exposure to a demographic that may not have taken notice to him yet. I think this duet is a dope move for all parties involved. Justin is due to drop a digital album on December 16 entitled Journals. Check out the track below and let me know; who do you think this track benefited more; Justin or Chance?
