New music from one of New Atlanta’s most outspoken influencer Maui Max. The young emcee has been making some noise on the scene for quite some time qith his introspective bars and philosophical perspective on things both ratchet ans sophisticated. He has also distinguished himself by being extremely open with struggle with depression. I, as well as many others in the industry, commend him for infusing his bars with the realness. The black community has had a problem with masking our mental health issues, but I am so grateful for this generation of artists being a light and creating a dialogue that can save lives. Take a trip with Max above in the visuals for When I’m Geeked.

Wrong Way x WhatIsDoms

What is Doms

As the summer draws to a close, I’ve been looking for some mellow hiphop to vibe out and think about the imminent approach of cuffing season. I found the perfect track to do so with in Wrong Way x WhatIsDoms. The soothing and sweet track entails the demure side of Doms as he serenades a love interest that has been clearly going the wrong way and taking much less than she deserves in her previous relationships.

Rather than dirty mackin’ and focusing on what the next guy isn’t doing, the song shows off all the things that girls love to receive in relationships from fast replies and quality time. The production by JoFlame will steal your heart just as quickly as the lyrics. Go the right way and listen to this track below.

ATL’s own Kodie Shane provides us with new and improved visuals that showcase her unique swagger in Drip On My Walk. The MC on the rise has been making some noise on the indie Atlanta scene for quite some time due to her unique style, innovative approach to hip hop and colorful personality. This video combines all three in a way that’s instantly captivating and makes you want to hear and see more.

Peep the colorful and creative vid and you’ll see a lot of Lil Yachty, who Kodie was at one point rumored to be possibly boo’d up with. *insert lurkin’ eyes emoji* Although they both shut those rumors down, you can check out the undeniable bond between the two below. You can also catch a glipse of Kodie posted up in front of a building formally known as Department Store a cultural hub for many of New Atlanta’s most buzzworthy new artists for the past several years such as Makonnen, 6lack as well as Kodie herself. Do it for the culture Kodie!

Indie x Shaun B

Fresh off the success of Cocaine in the Evening, Shaun B returns with a startling new single ‘Indie.’ The East Atlanta native creates an element that can only be described as a state of euphoria. From the SlowKings production, to the strong pen and vocal range, even down to the Cam Kirk visual concept everything together is nothing less than exceptional. The airy light feel of the music combined with the monster bass on the production give us the best of both worlds on this ridin-round-town worthy track.

From Nothing x Dope Diana

Comment 1 Standard

It’s somewhat rare for an artist’s name to provide an accurate explanation of them as an individual, but for New Atlanta artist Dope Diana, it’s just that simple. In a world so full of negativity, Diana is an artist that pledges to promote positivity by any means, both through her music and her life. The title track off of her upcoming project From Nothing is no different.

On a jazzy and jovial beat, Dope Dian talks about how it feels to have succeeded after overcoming all of life’s struggles. The track can also be a huge source of motivation for someone who is at a low point in life. It’s a danceable song that comes along with a mantra that we are all dope, all unable to be defeated by anything that life throws at us. Check it out below and make sure to add it to your morning playlist to get your day started in the dopest way.

Pussy Boy x Mz. Daisy {Official Video}

The surprising girl power anthem of the summer comes in the form of what would appear to the naked eye to be a diss track. Emcee Mz. Daisy is a literally and metaphorically colorful artist who has been putting in work on the indie Atlanta scene for quite some time. Along with hoping to spread positive vibes and good times to all she encounters, she also holds no stops when it comes to keeping it real. This shows in the video for Pussy Boy.

     Shot in the Old Fourth Ward, one of the most flourishing creative hubs in the city, Mz. Daisy and her prismatic posse chill out as she puts you on about the type of men she refuses to let in her aura. While the title can sound like a negative track about men, it’s definitely a track that lists all the signs of a fuckboy without slandering the real ones. She confronts topics like ignorance and over-sexualization as turn offs. This was something I could definitely relate to and I think many lady listeners will as well. Check out the rad rainbow visuals below!
